Hand carved from black walnut and finished with danish oil. This scoop has been hand carved with a knife, to leave a faceted, textural look and feel.

Please note that the bowl of this scoop has a shallower profile than the outer dimension. This doesn't show very well in the pictures. It holds around the same amount as my smaller scoops.

Approx 21cm long, 5cm wide, and 2.5cm deep.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT CLEAN IN DISHWASHER. Wood expands and contracts with the seasons, with temperature, and with humidity. Never place this item in a washing machine. Always wash by hand, and do not leave soaking in the sink, or lying in pooled water on the draining board to dry. I would also recommend occasionally treating the wood with beeswax balm, mineral oil, or another finish of your choice to keep the wood waterproof and moisturised. Just whenever it starts to look dry. This also keeps items looking lovely and rich in colour.
